As filed

Compared to last week: Feeder steers under 500 lbs were 5.00 to 10.00 higher, feeder steers over 500 lbs traded 4.00 to 10.00 lower on limited comparisons of like cattle from the previous week. Feeder heifers traded mostly 5.00 to 10.00 lower. Slaughter cows and bulls were not viewed last week so no comparison is available, however a stong demand on slaughter cattle was noted. Supply was good across all ranges of cattle today and demand was good as well.

Slaughter cattle

By class and quality grade · $/cwt

Cull cows and bulls are graded, not weight-classed — grade is what moves the money here.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
