Compared to last week, demand for lightweight calves appeared softer. With heat returning to the forecast, interest in unweaned calves has declined. Feeder steers and heifers weighing 300lb-500lb sold $5.00 to $15.00 lower, while those in the 600lb-700lb range traded steady to $10.00 higher. Feeder Bulls 600lb-700lb traded $10.00 to $15.00 higher. Slaughter cattle remained steady.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
