Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to last week: Feeder steers under 700 lbs. 5.00-15.00 lower; over 700 lbs. 5.00-7.00 higher. Feeder heifers 3.00-12.00 lower. Slaughter cows steady. Slaughter bulls steady. Quality was average. Most all classes were cheaper. Fleshy new crop calves made up majority of offering. Dry conditions have dampened spirits of light cattle buyers. Sold two loads of preconditioned cattle on video. see link for video auction ( https://www.ams.usda.gov/mnreports/ams_3628.pdf ).
