Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to last week: Feeder steers under 550 lbs. 2.00-7.00 lower; over 550 lbs. 2.00-5.00 higher. Feeder heifers 2.00-5.00 lower. Slaughter cows 7.00-12.00 lower. Slaughter bulls steady to 3.00 lower. Quality was average. Very few yearling or preconditioned cattle. Mostly all new crop and unweaned cattle. Very dry conditions in a widespread area is putting a damper on lighter cattle demand. Slaughter cattle were considerably cheaper this week.
