Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to last week: Feeder steers under 550 lbs. 7.00-15.00 higher; over 550 lbs. 5.00-10.00 lower. Feeder heifers 2.00-10.00 higher. Slaughter cows steady. Slaughter bulls steady. Quality was average. Lighter calf demand was better. Very few yearling cattle on offer. Some regions have gotten some rainfall which has helped to perk the market up on the smaller cattle. Sold a load of 650 lb. steers on the video auction see link for details ( https://www.ams.usda.gov/mnreports/ams_3628.pdf ).
