Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to last week: Feeder steers sold steady to 5.00 lower. Feeder heifers sold steady to 6.00 higher. Slaughter cows sold steady to 5.00 lower. No trend on slaughter bulls due to only three bulls last week. The quality of cattle was plain to average.

Slaughter cattle

By class and quality grade · $/cwt

Cull cows and bulls are graded, not weight-classed — grade is what moves the money here.
