Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to last week slaughter steers were 1.00 to 2.00 higher with slaughter heifers instances of higher/lower with still good packer interest this and some high quality steers and heifers on a lower test this week. Ho Holstein slaughter steers this week. Cows were 6.00 higher today bulls too few to compare but trending higher. No feeder steers today but feeder heifers were trending higher with feeder bulls sharply higher on fancy type bulls. A light offering on all classes of cattle this week due to weather conditions but good buyer interest today.
