Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to last week, slaughter steers were mostly steady. Holstein steers were mostly steady to 2.00 higher. Slaughter heifers were mostly steady based on a limited comparison. A higher undertone was noted on slaughter bulls and Holstein heifers based on a limited comparison. Slaughter cows were mostly steady. A lighter offering of cattle was noted because of the holiday weekend and favorable weather for farmers to finish much needed field work.
