As filed

Compared to last week: Feeder steers under 600 lbs. sold 6.00-8.00 higher and those over 600 lbs. were 4.00-6.00 lower. Feeder heifers traded unevenly steady and bull calves were 8.00-10.00 higher. The fancy and value-added calves saw strong demand from buyers. Slaughter cows sold 2.00-4.00 lower on a plain quality offering and slaughter bulls were steady.

Slaughter cattle

By class and quality grade · $/cwt

Cull cows and bulls are graded, not weight-classed — grade is what moves the money here.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
