Compared to last week, much lighter receipts this week due to the winter storm over the weekend bringing heavy rains, ice and snow, creating muddy conditions in the trade area. Feeder steers weighing 400-550 lbs and steers weighing 600-650 lbs sold steady, with 550-600 lb steers and 650-750 lb steers selling 2.00-5.00 lower on a much lighter test. Feeder heifers weighing 400-600 lbs sold 4.00-6.00 lower on comparable sales with last week's very active heifer market, 600-700 lbs sold 2.00-3.00 lower. Feeder cattle futures started the week trading with triple digit losses and Live Cattle trading with modest losses. Slaughter cows on a light test sold mostly steady.
