Compared to last week, a light offering of 450-600 lb steer calves sold fully steady to firm with spots 5.00 higher, 600-650 lb steers were not well tested with last week's limited offering but sold with a firm undertone, a pot load of 692 lb steers off the same consignment as last week's similar quality sold near 4.00 higher, with weights over 700 lbs trading with a firm undertone. Feeder heifers weighing under 550 lbs were lightly tested, a light test of 550-650 lbs sold steady to firm. Demand was good on a light to moderate offering with a couple of stick-out sales, a part load (51 head) of 617 lb heifers sold at 270.25 and a pot load of 692 lb steers at 271.50. Best demand was on the several consignments of part loads and groups of steers weighing 600-850 lbs along with the 5 weight steers. Slaughter cows sold on a very active market selling mostly 5.00-10.00 higher, spots 12.00 higher with the most advance on the high dressing cows.
