Compared to the last special three weeks ago, a light test of 500-550 lb steers and 700-800 lb steers sold 10.00-20.00 higher, with all other weights of steers selling with a firm to higher undertone. Heifer calves under 600 lbs were lightly tested but trading with a firm undertone with several part loads and pot loads of yearling heifers over 700 lbs selling with a higher undertone, especially the 1000-1077 lb heifers selling with a sharply higher undertone. Demand was good on a moderate offering, with the stick out sales being the 93 hd of 1077 lb heifers at 250.75, with 40 hd weighing 1005 lbs also at 250.75. Slaughter steers and heifers sold steady to 1.00 higher with slaughter cows trading steady to firm.
