As filed

Compared to the last sale three weeks ago, steers and heifers sold mostly 4.00 to 8.00 higher with yearling load lots trading sharply higher, seeing a full 12.00 advance. Slaughter cows 5.00 to 7.00 higher. Both the cash fat and feeder markets have continued to improve in recent weeks, lending a sense of optimism to the beef sector. Yearling trade at the local barn this week was particularly impressive and surpassed most spectators' expectations by the time the gavel fell. Supply moderate, demand moderate to good.
