Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to last Tuesday, feeder steers steady. Feeder heifers under 500 lbs 2.00-4.00 lower, over 500 lbs steady. Slaughter cows 1.00-2.00 lower. Demand moderate to good. Supply moderate. Friday's bearish Cattle on Feed report has quickly disappeared in the rear view mirror with futures moving higher so far this week partly due to positive export news and the belief by many that smaller spring placements are now impacting market ready numbers and strengthening the feedlots hand.
