Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to the sale two weeks ago, feeder steers under 500 lbs steady to 2.00 higher, over 500 lbs 2.00-8.00 higher. Feeder heifers 4.00-8.00 higher. Slaughter cows steady. Demand good to very good. Supply heavy. The feeder offering was long on numbers and quality this week with several outstanding consignments in the mix. Feeder trend reflects an uptick in the market that began the middle of last week.

Slaughter cattle

By class and quality grade · $/cwt
