Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to last Tuesday, feeder steers steady. Feeder heifers steady to 5.00 lower with decline in the lighter weights following last weeks strong advance. Slaughter cows 1.00-2.00 higher. Demand good to very good. Supply moderate. Several consignments of good quality fall calves again this week. Feeder futures were sharply lower Tuesday with the announcement that USDA was doing bird flu testing on some ground beef.
