Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to last Wednesday, the bulk of slaughter cows sold 10.00-12.00 higher with some high-dressing 15.00 higher. The bulk of slaughter bulls sold 8.00-9.00 higher with a couple high-dressing 12.00 higher. Packer buyers were looking to gather some slaughter cows today as receipts at many sale barns had been light over the past week. The offering included a light supply of bred cows with most in the second stage and cow/calf pairs were scarce. Supply was moderate and demand very good for slaughter classes.
