As filed

Compared to last week, steers sold uneven as calves weighing 450-550 lbs sold 4.00-8.00 lower following last weeks higher market for that weight range and steers over 550 lbs traded steady to 3.00 higher. Heifers sold mostly steady. Demand was moderate to good for a moderate supply. Six loads of yearling steers were on hand along with several other consignments of yearlings off of grass and a good run of calves. Cattle futures have been trading mostly sideways within the same range for awhile now with little new information available to move the market either way as those interested wait to see how the backlog of cattle plays out. Slaughter cows sold 2.00 to 5.00 higher with most of the advance on boning cows. Several outstanding cows were offered. Slaughter bulls traded steady.
