Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to last week, steer calves sold 8.00-15.00 higher and yearlings sold mostly steady. Heifers sold steady to 5.00 higher except for 4 loads of fancy all black yearlings that sold 15.00-18.00 higher. Demand was good to very good for a heavy supply. The wet weather recently certainly didn't slow anyone down from moving cattle with the all time record high prices providing incentive to get them to town and several of the consignors are showing up sooner than normal with their calves. Nearly all factors affecting the cattle market have been bullish lately.
