Compared to last week, steers under 550lbs traded 5.00 to 10.00 higher and steers over 550lbs sold mostly steady. Heifers sold 5.00 to 15.00 higher on a light test. Slaughter cows and bulls sold 5.00 to 10.00 higher. Demand was good to very good for the quality weaned cattle included in the offering. A few herd sellouts brought some quality bred cows to town in the replacement cattle portion of the offering. Receipts were lighter this week after some much needed rain fell in the area earlier this morning.
