As filed

Compared to last week feeder steers sold 5.00-10.00 higher. Feeder heifers sold 5.00 up to 20.00 higher on 6 weights. Slaughter cows and bulls sold steady to 3.00 higher. Supply was moderate with very good demand. A high percentage of the feeder cattle offered were of high quality and attracted very active bidding. A large crowd was on hand for this last auction of the year at Mid Missouri Stockyards and a complimentary meal of beef brisket was provided by the sale barn.

Slaughter cattle

By class and quality grade · $/cwt

Cull cows and bulls are graded, not weight-classed — grade is what moves the money here.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
