Compared to last week, steers sold with a firm to higher undertone and a light test of heifers traded mostly steady. More weaned calves were offered this week and the steer calves found an active market. Demand was moderate to good, best for steers under 575 lbs. Supply was light, but the highlight of the sale was 42 head of fancy open replacement heifers. Slaughter cows sold steady to 3.00 lower.
