Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to last week, slaughter cows traded 1.00-2.00 higher with slaughter bulls trading 2.00-4.00 higher. Demand was good on a heavy supply of slaughter animals, a moderate supply of bred cows and a light supply of pairs. USDA's Cold Storage report released Monday, reported total pounds of beef in freezers were down 13 percent from the previous month but up 2 percent from last year. We are continuing to see good demand for slaughter cows and bulls as processing plants get back up to normal speeds.
