Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to last week, slaughter cows and bulls traded 3.00-4.00 lower. Demand was good on a heavy supply of bred and slaughter cows and a moderate supply of slaughter bulls and pairs. Five herd dispersals provided a good selection of bred cows. The USDA's Cold Storage report, released last week, reported total pounds of beef in freezers were up 1 percent from the previous month and up 24 percent from last year.
