As filed

Compared to last week, steer calves traded 4.00-7.00 higher with heifer calves trading steady to 5.00 higher. Yearling steers, compared to last week's light test, traded 5.00-7.00 higher with heifer yearlings lightly tested. Demand was very good on a moderate supply. Spring rains, warmer temperatures and sunshine have gotten pastures off to a good start and has increased the demand for all classes of calves. Demand was especially good for 3 and 4 weight calves with many breaking the 2.00 mark.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
