Compared to last week, steers and heifers under 800 lbs traded 3.00-7.00 higher with spots 12.00 higher while heavier weights traded steady. Demand was good on a heavy supply. Dry conditions continued across the area with more seasonal temperatures and less humidity. Several multi-pot load drafts of stocker and feeder calves as well as yearlings were in the offering including 780 head of eight-weight steers which sold through the Video Auction. The USDA's Cattle on Feed released last week reported, Inventories up 1 percent, Placements down 2 percent, Marketings up 2 percent and Other Disapperances up 13 percent, compared to a year ago.
