Compared to last week, steer and heifer calves traded 3.00-6.00 lower with spots 10.00 lower. Yearling steers traded steady to firm with yearling heifers not well tested. Demand was moderate on a moderate supply. The supply included a draft of 229 head of 928 lb. steers that sold for 169.00/cwt. which was .50 higher than a comparable draft that sold last week. Demand for unweaned or short-weaned calves was light and is not likely to improve until the first hard freeze of the winter.
