Compared to last week, steer and heifer calves under 700 lbs. sold steady to 4.00 higher. Feeder steers and heifers were steady to weak with most weights not well tested. Demand was moderate on a light supply. Heat advisories and heat warnings across the area kept receipts light with most of the offering arriving overnight or early morning. Market activity was slow, especially on calves with excessive hair and above average flesh. The largest draft of the day was 49 head of 532 lb. steers which brought 339.00/cwt.
