Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers over 650 lbs. sold steady to 4.00 higher. Steer calves under 650 lbs. sold 10.00-15.00 higher with spots 20.00 higher. Heifer calves under 650 lbs. sold 5.00-10.00 higher. Demand was good on stocker and feeder calves and very good on peewee calves. The supply was moderate and higher than normal for the week of firearm deer season in Missouri. Both Feeder Cattle and Live Cattle Futures traded higher today. Wheat pastures continue to improve, with rain across the Wheat Belt, helping to drive demand for calves ready to turn out.
