Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers were not well tested however undertones were steady to weak. Steer and heifer calves were uneven from 4.00 lower to 4.00 higher. Demand was good on a moderate supply. Overall quality and condition were lower this week when compared to last week's weaned and pre-vac special sale, however preconditioned calf prices were steady to firm. Feeder and Live Cattle Futures Contracts traded higher as the Feeder Cattle Index, based on an 800 lb. Steer, closed at 262.25 on Monday, which was a record high.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
