Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to last Wednesday, feeder steers under 500 lbs 3.00-6.00 lower, over 500 lbs 2.00-3.00 lower. Feeder heifers steady to 2.00 lower. Slaughter cows 2.00-3.00 higher. Demand moderate to good. Supply moderate. More of an average feeder offering this week without the larger front end consignments of recent weeks. Beef supplies are increasing fairly rapidly now with the choice cutout printing below 218.00/cwt Wednesday afternoon. The placement figure in Friday's Cattle on Feed report will be one to watch with the trade guess coming in a 97.6 percent.
