Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to last Wednesday, feeder steers and heifers mostly steady, instances 5.00 higher on steers near 600 lbs. Slaughter cows 4.00-6.00 lower. Demand moderate to good. Supply moderate. Steers weighing 650-750 lbs look cheaper on paper but may not be with less condition for the most part than last week. Feeder contracts have gained a lot of ground so far this week while beef demand continues to weather the fuel/inflation risk maybe better than expected.
