Compared to last week, steer calves under 550 lbs. had little comparison. The 550-650 lb. steers traded as much as 12.00 higher and the feeder steers over 650 lbs. sold with a higher undertone compared to a light test from last week. The largest drafts of the day included 72 hd. of 794 lb. steers that sold at 389.00/cwt., 183 hd. of 901 lb. steers that sold at 357.25/cwt., and 61 hd. of 917 lb. steers that sold at 353.25/cwt. The heifer calves sold mostly steady on a light test, and the feeder heifers were not well tested last week. Slaughter cattle traded 5.00 higher with spots 8.00 higher on the good high dressing cows and bulls.
