As filed

Compared to last week, steers and heifers traded steady to 3.00 higher. Although supply was light to moderate, some reputation consignments of quality cattle were offered and demand was good. The summer and fall feeder cattle contracts have gained quite a little ground over the last week or so and have broken the $1.60 mark to provide some support to calf prices. Even though we have had some warm weather the grass has yet to really take off and grow. Slaughter cows sold steady to 2.00 higher with the advance on boning and lean cows.
