Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to the last reported sale two weeks ago, the majority of steers weighed 650 lbs or less and traded 8.00-10.00 higher with the heavier weights lightly tested but selling firm. Heifers sold firm to 8.00 higher, spots 10.00 higher on those weighing 450-500 lbs. Supply was moderate and demand was very good. A few extra buyers in the seats and several strings of reputation cattle in very attractive condition made for an active market. Slaughter cows and bulls sold 3.00-7.00 higher except lean cows trading steady.
