As filed

Compared to the most accurate test from three weeks ago, steer calves under 650 lbs traded 5.00-10.00 higher and heavier weights sold steady to 5.00 higher based on a light test from the sale three weeks ago. Heifers sold steady to 5.00 higher. This sale was a WLAC qualifying event with 45 different auctioneers from across the United States and Canada competing to qualify for the championship. Supply was moderate to heavy for the first sale of the year and demand was good, best for the calves under 650 lbs. Slaughter cows sold 3.00-7.00 higher.

Slaughter cattle

By class and quality grade · $/cwt

Cull cows and bulls are graded, not weight-classed — grade is what moves the money here.
