As filed

Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold steady to spots 5.00 higher. Demand was good to very good for the long weaned reputation cattle that made up the majority of the offering, but also several consignments of plainer, un-weaned or all natural cattle were on hand and saw moderate to light demand. Supply was moderate to heavy. A sprinkling of new crops started to show up this week and with the cold rain had only a few takers. Slaughter cows sold 5.00-6.00 lower following last weeks sharply higher trade.

Cull cows and bulls are graded, not weight-classed — grade is what moves the money here.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
