Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to last sale: Slaughter bulls steady. Slaughter cows steady to 2.00 higher. Demand strong. Quality average. After a cool weekend temperatures again reached into the triple digits today. Temperatures are forecasted to remain in the triple digits for the rest of this week with no chance of precipitation. Farmers and ranchers are dealing with extreme temperatures and drought, not only causing widespread crop failures, forcing livestock liquidations, and driving operational costs to unsustainable levels, they are also dealing with livestock losses.
