Compared to last week: Steers calves from 400 lbs to 699 lbs were generally 8.00 to 12.00 lower with instances of 15.00 to 20.00 lower. Heifer calves from 450 lbs to 499 lbs were 4.00 to 8.00 lower, heifer calves from 400 lbs to 449 lbs and 600 lbs to 649 lbs were 4.00 to 8.00 lower, heifers from 500 lbs to 549 lbs were 15.00 to 20.00 lower. No comparisons on the yearlings due to limited numbers. Good demand and a fairly active market for todays feeder cattle auction. A house full of buyers and sellers, with plenty of bidding action on the internet. Just fair demand for todays limited offering of yearlings. Todays calf offering were mostly fully preconditioned and right off the cow. The cattle were fairly clean and carried little to no tag, attractive for condition and quality. Limited supply of yearlings cattle today with most being in light to moderate flesh condition and quality and coming off pasture. Muddy roads in some parts along with muddy pen conditions in feeding county made for a sluggish start to the sale as the futures market was down hard early in the day. Several cancellations for todays sale as some places in the county are relative muddy. Next feeder sale is scheduled for Friday, November 13, 2026,
