Too light an offering of calves this week and yearlings last week to develop an accurate price trend. Quite a few yearlings today, most selling in load lots. Flesh varied quite a bit, from moderate to heavy. Just a few consignments of calves, all selling in packages, it would have been difficult to make a load of calves today. One weaned consignment, the rest off the cow and quite a few calves with no shots. Good demand for both yearlings and calves which sold on an active market. Mostly order buyers interested in cattle today, not as many farmer feeders as the last couple weeks. This is the last feeder cattle sale of 2024. Next feeder cattle sale is Friday, January 3, 2025. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!
