A much lighter offering compared to last week with yearlings not well compared and best test on steers calves 550 to 599 lbs 20.00 to 25.00 lower on a narrow comparison. Mostly good demand seen for yearlings today. The bulk of yearlings sold in strings and loads and came out of yards. A handful of packages off grass, mostly tested open heifers. Quality varied quite a bit this week, from plain to attractive, and many carried quite a bit of flesh. Some tag seen at times as some areas received quite a bit of rain on Monday. A light offering of calves with a few cancellations due to muddy road and yard conditions. Moderate to good demand for calves, most of these selling in packages. Calves were attractive in quality and had at least one round of shots. A moderate to active market with the recent decline of the futures complex putting pressure on the market. Next feeder cattle sale is Wednesday, November 11, expecting a much larger offering of calves.
