As filed

First reported sale in three weeks, no recent price comparisons available, much higher undertones for both steers and heifers. Good to very good demand this week for this nice summertime offering of yearling steers and heifers. Several long strings of yearling steers and heifers offered in full loads and multiple load lots, along with many packages and part loads. Flesh condition ranged from light to heavy. The market was very active on the light and moderate fleshed cattle, much slower on the fleshy cattle. After last week's run up in the cash fed cattle market cattle feeders were ready to buy yearlings, however the flesh has to be light enough to ensure efficient feedyard gains as the fleshy cattle found fewer outlets. Slaughter cows steady, bulls 1.00 to 2.00 lower.
