Compared to the sale last week: CME feeder cattle futures up 3.00 today. Light steers 550-750 lbs were mostly 4.00-6.00 higher with instances higher. Heavier steers 800-900 lbs 1.00-4.00 higher today. Heifers 550-700 lbs 1.00-5.00 higher with instances higher. Heavier heifers 750-850 lbs were steady to 1.00 higher. Many load lots of both light and heavy cattle, including cattle over 1,000 lbs in the offering today. Another big sale and large crowd in the arena today. Demand was good, especially on light cattle as supply is dwindling.
