As filed

Compared to two weeks ago: Slaughter steers and heifers 2.00 higher with instances to 3.00 higher. Holstein steers steady. A very large offering of high quality grading steers and heifers, many full loads. Demand moderate overall. All packer buyers did participate this week, which was a definite improvement. Two way buyers were active bidders, on greener cattle and also helping to push the market along on market ready cattle. The overall quality was outstanding, weighing condition decent as many cattle were hauled in overnight but dirty hides held back dressing percents at times. Estimated dressed cost of the majority of the cattle looked to be from 188.00-190.00. Slaughter cows steady to 3.00 higher than Monday on a much larger offering, bulls steady with a week ago.

Slaughter lambs 2.00 to 3.00 higher compared to two weeks ago. Slaughter ewes 5.00 to 8.00 lower. Feeder lambs not well compared. Good demand for slaughter lambs, much less demand this week for slaughter ewes. Good demand for the few lambs that did go to feeding accounts, most lambs under 100 lbs went to slaughter. Good demand for the offering of replacement ewes.
