As filed

Compared to last week: Slaughter steers and heifers 3.00 to 6.00 lower, Holstein steers 2.00 to 3.00 higher. Moderate demand for this large offering of very attractive, high quality grading steers and heifers. The market was fairly active in spite of a lower trend. Packer buyers have been bidding lower in the country which followed through to the auction. Weighing conditions were pretty attractive for buyers as the weather has been hot, estimated dressed cost 159.00-167.00. 15 full loads of steers, 1 full load of heifers, balance part loads and small packages. Slaughter cows 3.00 to 6.00 higher compared to last Wednesday, bulls sold with firm to higher undertones.

Slaughter lambs under 90 lbs 6.00 to 10.00 higher, over 90 lbs steady to 2.00 higher. Feeder lambs too lightly tested last week to make a comparison. Slaughter ewes steady to 5.00 lower. Improved demand for slaughter lambs under 90 lbs, only moderate for heavier weights. Only moderate demand for slaughter ewes. Demand for feeder lambs was moderate as few farmer feeders in attendance.
