As filed

Compared to last week: Slaughter steers steady to 1.00 lower, heifers 1.00 to 2.00 lower, Holstein steers 1.00 to 3.00 lower. Demand was good for non implanted, black hided steers and heifers, light to moderate demand on conventional and mixed colored cattle. A lighter offering of attractive clean hided cattle. Weighing conditions were fair as most cattle were hauled in overnight. Packers showed very little interest in closing the gap between live cattle and boxed beef. Packers are keeping a firm grip on the market. Slaughter cows steady to 3.00 lower. Slaughter bulls steady to 1.00 lower.

Traditional Slaughter weight sheep 5.00 to 10.00 higher. Demand for this nice offering of traditional weight was good to very good. Big offering of feeder and light slaughter lambs with demand being moderate. Slaughter ewes steady to 4.00 higher.
