As filed

Compared to last week: Slaughter steers Choice 2-3 and heifers 4.00 to 5.00 higher, Choice 3-4 steers 9.00 to 10.00 higher. Holstein steers steady. Demand for this eye appealing offering of lighter cattle was good. Weighing conditions were very favorable as most cattle were hauled in over night. Non implant cattle brought a small premium this week, the conventional cattle are closing the gap. CME Live Cattle Futures was down today along with corn. Slaughter cows steady to 2.00 higher. Slaughter Bulls steady to 1.00 lower.

Traditional slaughter weight lambs 13.00 to 16.00 lower. Demand for this large offering of nice lambs was moderate. We are seeing several lots of feeder lambs continuing to come in, while traditional weights are slowly starting to increase in numbers. Slaughter ewes Good 2-3 and Utility 1-2 5.00 to 6.00 higher, Good 4-5 steady, Cull to few to making a meaningful comparison.
