As filed

Compared to last week: Slaughter steers 1.00 to 3.00 lower, heifers 1.00 lower. Holsteins 1.00 to 3.00 lower. Demand for this nice offering was moderate. Two way buyers stepped in when they saw a deal. The largest demand seems to be for black hided cattle creating a wide price gap. Most cattle were hauled in over night, making weigh ups good for the buyer. Estimated dressed cost 217.74 - 222.58. CME Live Cattle closed down, with corn jumping higher. Slaughter cows Breaker and Lean steady to 2.00 higher, Boner 1.00 to 2.00 lower. Slaughter bulls 2.00 to 4.00 higher.

Traditional slaughter weight lambs under 149 lbs were 1.00 to 3.00 lower, over 150 lbs 1.00 to 3.00 higher. Ewes Good 2-3 5.00 to 10.00 higher, 4-5 & Utility 1-2 10.00 to 20.00 higher, Cull to few to make a meaningful comparison. Demand for this very large offering of sheep and goats was good.
