Compared to two weeks ago: No sale last week due to blizzard conditions. Slaughter steers sold with significantly higher undertones, steers have been light for the last month making it difficult to make a meaningful comparison. Slaughter heifers 4.00 to 8.00 higher than 2 weeks ago. Demand for this eye appealing offering of slaughter cattle was good. Some cattle carried a small amount of tag. From blizzard to warmer muddy weather has mad it challenging for producers. Non Implant and program cattle showed only a slight premium. Estimated dressed cost 261.00 - 269.00. Cattle on feed as of February 1 totaled 11.7 million, 4% below last year at the same time. Slaughter cows 5.00 to 6.00 higher. Bulls 7.00 to 10.00 higher.

Traditional weight slaughter lambs 5.00 to 7.00 higher. The majority of these lambs are old crop. Demand for this nice offering was good. The majority of the light lambs were new crop. Light lambs were highly sought after. Slaughter ewes Good sold 10.00 higher, Utility 1-2 20.00 to 25.00 lower, Cull steady. Black face ewes definitely draw the attention of buyers.
