As filed

Compared to last week: Slaughter steers and heifers 3.00 to 5.00 higher. Very good demand for this lighter, seasonal offering. Four full loads, balance part loads and stock trailer loads. Cattle continue to be very attractive and eye appealing as they are carrying such a high degree of finish and they have clean hides. The market was active as packer buyers were quick to bid to get the cattle bought that they need. The CME Live Cattle futures continues to trade higher, which is lending support to the market.

Slaughter lambs under 100 lbs 15.00 to 30.00 higher, over 100 lbs 10.00 to 15.00 higher. Slaughter ewes steady to 5.00 higher. Improved demand for slaughter lambs this week, after the large volume offered a week ago. Good demand for slaughter ewes.
